Central Oregon LandWatch is building a community advocacy network to provide valuable insight into the City of Sister’s Comprehensive Plan update to ensure it charts a course toward the future Sisters residents’ desire. 

During the City of Bend’s Comprehensive Plan update in 2016, LandWatch organized the community to influence the planning process. Our advocacy resulted in a smaller Urban Growth Boundary, which promotes denser living areas - with more walkable and vibrant neighborhoods - while preventing sprawl into the neighboring wildlands. 

While Sisters is unique from Bend, we look forward to sharing the lessons learned from the Bend UGB process to help Sisters advocate for wildlife, wild lands, and healthy communities.
