We’re ready for Climate-Friendly & Equitable Communities

Let's stop House Bill 2659!

Last year, Oregon adopted a new Climate-Friendly & Equitable Communities (CFEC) program!

We advocated for this forward-thinking program everywhere we could, bringing together over 1,600 Oregonians, businesses, and organizations to ensure CFEC would be the best it could be in prioritizing climate, housing, transportation, and equity in how cities are planned, built, and funded.

Unfortunately, House Bill 2659 is a bill at the Oregon State Legislature that would repeal and delay CFEC. If passed, this bill would prevent meaningful and urgent action to address climate, equity, and housing issues in Oregon’s communities.

On April 4, the legislature is holding a hearing and we've got to stop HB 2659 in its tracks. Climate change is here and the time for tangible action is now.

What is CFEC?

The CFEC program will transform Oregon’s eight major urban areas in ways that tackle climate change, deliver more abundant and affordable housing, address inequity head-on, and provide more convenient, safe ways to get around that don’t always require a car.
