Wildfire in the Wildland Urban Interface at Pints & Politics

Join OLCV, Central Oregon LandWatch and fellow community members who care about protecting Oregon’s natural legacy for Pints and Politics.

Planning for wildfire is essential in the High Desert. This photo (from CentralOregon Photos) depicts just how close wildfire can come to our community.

Special guest Jonathan Stewart, author of Walking Away From the Land, joins us to discuss the increasing risk to life and property due to wildfire in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI), and how communities like Bend can best plan to limit these risks.

 When: Thursday, June 18, 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Where: Broken Top Bottle Shop at 1740 NW Pence Ln, Bend
