The Magic of the Metolius: Virtual Auction & Art Night

Join us for a virtual auction and evening in celebration of the Metolius River Basin with artist Sheila Dunn. LandWatch has a decades-long legacy of fighting to protect this landscape, culminating in 2009 when the Metolius River Basin was designated an Area of Critical State Concern, creating permanent protections for the area.

Sheila Dunn has created an original piece of artwork to commemorate the Metolius River Basin. This evening will feature a virtual auction, talk with the artist, live musical performances, and guest speakers. Preview some of the auction items here.

This event is free and open to all. Register here.

Listen in on a Q & A with artist Sheila Dunn.

Sheila’s artwork explores the fluid relationship between figure and environment: how each continuously informs and affects the other. At the heart of this exploration lies the notion that we both form – and are formed by - all we have seen and experienced. We’ll sit down with Sheila and explore her connection and inspiration to the Oregon High Desert.

Enjoy a virtual music performance from singer-songwriter Erin Cole-Baker.

Erin has established herself as "One of the more constant and compelling voices on the Central Oregon music scene” (GO! Magazine). Erins’ songs are deep, gritty reflections on being human, guided by rich velvety vocals on both electric and acoustic guitars.

In addition to auctioning off the original painting of the Metolius from Sheila Dunn, the event will feature virtual auction for a handful of items, activities, and excursions for enjoying Central Oregon's great outdoors.

Thanks to our generous supporting businesses and organizations in Central Oregon, we’ve got wine, fishing excursions, day trips, outdoor gear, local experiences, and more! Preview the auction items here.
